Commodity prices

The following were the rates (per kg) of commodities in local wholesale market on Saturday, according to the Vijayawada Chamber of Commerce & Industry: Groundnut oil-53.50, palmolein oil-39, sunflower oil-48, tamarind (flower variety)-20 to 27, Tamarind (karipuli variety)-42 to 48, Chillies (refrigerated)-15 to 20, Chillies (non-refrigerated)-10 to 13, Rice 2716-13, Rice super fine-15, rice Sona Masuri 17 to 19 Samba-15 to 16, black gram (Pottu Minappappu)-33.50 and red gram (Kandipappu) - 23 to 29.50.

Roller skating

The Roller Skating Association of Krishna District is conducting district level roller-skating competitions on October 22 and 23. Applications can be obtained at Rajiv Gandhi Park between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. every day. The association president D.
