The Joint Chief Electoral Officer, P.T. Special campaigns would also be held on October 29 and 30 and on November 12 and 13 between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

The authorities would receive claims and objections between October 20 and November 19 and the claims and objections would be disposed by December 22. The department has planned to prepare and print supplements of the additions, deletions and corrections by January 20, 2006. The final publication of rolls is scheduled for January 24, 2006.

Mr. Goud said arrangements would also be made for reading of relevant part or section of electoral rolls in Grama Sabhas, urban municipal bodies and also at meetings of the Resident Welfare Associations from October 20 to November 11.

Those who have attained 18 years on January 1, 2006, those who have already completed 18 years but had not enrolled themselves in the voter list, those having the Electoral Photo Identity Cards (EPICs) but whose names were not found in the rolls and those who have shifted their residences are eligible for enrolment. The person should be ordinarily resident in Union Territory of Pondicherry in all these cases of eligibility for enrolment.

Applicants can also file forms by visiting the website www.electionspondy,com and the department prohibits filing of bulk applications by political parties or Residents Welfare Associations.

The final photo electoral rolls would be published on January 24 and would be on display up to January 30, 2006 for public verification.
