GUNTUR: Miscreants murdered Mastan Bee, 35, wife of an Ayurvedic doctor, for gold ornaments in the Railpeta are of the city on Monday morning. The intruders went into the house of Dr. Abdullah in the second lane of Railpeta while he was away at the SWIMS Hospital and slit the throat of Mastan Bee and even cut her ears to remove the gold studs. The assailants took away two gold chains and studs, Additional Superintendent of Police S. Ranga Reddy said. The doctor's younger son, who had gone out for tuition, returned home at 1 p.m. and found his mother in a pool of blood. He immediately alerted neighbours, who in turn called the police. The police immediately sent a dog squad and forensic experts to lift fingerprints. Mr. Ranga Rao said that teams had been sent to several areas for tracking down the culprits based on the clues found at the scene.
