Technology has come in handy for reuniting a couple. The Kerala State Women's Commission used the telephone to end the quarrel between a man and his wife. The geographical divide was first broken down as the commission could call up the man who had left for Dubai in a huff with their three-year-old son. The commission then broke down the mental divide through a `telephone counselling' session with him. The woman, who had approached the commission for assistance, and her relatives were also counselled. The little one was reunited with its mother at a sitting of the panel in Kozhikode on Monday, after the father agreed to send it back with a relative. The couple talked over phone and decided to forget their differences. All complaints in connection with the domestic dispute were withdrawn.
