Performing artistes oppose Government move

KOCHI: The All Kerala Performing Artists Association will organise a mass dharna in front of the Secretariat on October 31 in protest against the decision of the Government to allow recorded music cassettes instead of live music bands for youth festival competitions.

The Government's move will render hundreds of artistes jobless, association office-bearers Tripunithura Krishna Das and general secretary T.S. Sathis Kumar said at a press conference here on Tuesday.
