Media, these days, have many roles to play. But not every day does it play the role Indian Navy wants it to play. To thank a stranger, details of whom are not available, for helping a Navy man and a pedestrian injured in a road accident. According to the information available with the Navy, D.R. Venugopal, a sailor posted at the Indian Naval Workup Team met with an accident on October 15 at Chandiroor near Cherthala on the National Highway, injuring a pedestrian also. A responsible citizen, as Navy officials would prefer to call him, took the injured to the hospital 15 kilometres away and left without leaving much clues to his identity. Now, the Navy wants this noble man to know their gratitude through media.
