MUMBAI: Deutsche Bank, a leading retail banking provider in Germany and parts of Europe, on Tuesday launched its retail banking services in India, starting with Mumbai. It will launch retail banking operations in eight branches in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Gurgaon and Noida, in the coming weeks. The bank will launch its retail business with a comprehensive product and service offering — from current and savings accounts, to investment products and loans, including housing loans. It will also introduce advisory services to meet the investment and financial planning needs of customers.

It will commence these operations with over 400 trained staff and ATM network. In parallel, the bank will launch state-of-the-art online and telebanking services. It will also introduce free global ATM usage at more than 30,000 ATMs across 40 countries for Indian customers travelling overseas.

"Its debit cards will offer attractive features such as short-term extensions of limits", said Gunit Chadha, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Deutsche Bank, while addressing a press conference here to announce the launch of its retail banking services in India.
