Rainfall occurred at many places over Rayalaseema and Karnataka and at a few places over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu and Kerala and mainly dry weather prevailed over Lakshadweep.
Bangalore Airport recorded a heavy rainfall of 10 Centimetres.
On Monday, the maximum temperature rose appreciably at one or two places over Telangana, Rayalaseema, rose at one or two places over rest Rayalaseema, fell at one or two places over north interior Karnataka and Tamilnadu and changed a little elsewhere over the region.
They were appreciably above normal at one or two places over Kerala, Tamilnadu, south interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, above normal at one or two places over rest Kerala, coastal Karnataka, rest south interior Karnataka, rest Rayalaseema, rest Tamilnadu, appreciably below normal at one or two places over Telangana and north interior Karnataka and were nearly normal over the rest of the region.
Palayamkottai recorded the highest maximum temperature of 36{+o} Celsius in the region.
The minimum temperature rose at one or two places over Tamilnadu and changed little elsewhere over the region. They were appreciably above normal at one or two places over Telangana and south coastal Andhra Pradesh and above normal at one or two places over north interior Karnataka, coastal Tamilnadu, south Kerala and were nearly normal over the rest of the region. Belgaum Airport recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 20{+o} Celsius in the plains of the region.
Forecast (valid until Thursday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places over coastal Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka and at a few places over interior Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Lakshadweep.
Heavy Rainfall Warning: Isolated heavy rain is likely to occur over coastal Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next 48 hours.
