Pakistan condemns killing

B. Muralidhar Reddy

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Tuesday condemned the killing of Jammu and Kashmir Minister of State for Education Ghulam Nabi Lone and said it was opposed to terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

"The Government of Pakistan condemns the killing of Ghulam Nabi Lone, State Minister for Education, in Srinagar by unknown persons. The Government of Pakistan is against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations," a brief statement by the Pakistan Foreign Office here said. After the peace process with India moved into top gear last year, Pakistan has made it a practice to condemn the killings of innocent and high profile targets in Jammu and Kashmir. However, Islamabad is careful not to attribute the killings to any one.
