Not office-bearers, says MCI

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: : The representatives of the Medical Council of India who were suspended following a sting operation by a private television channel were officers and not office-bearers of the agency, according to its president Kesavankutty Nair.

Dr. Nair, who arrived here on Tuesday from New Delhi, gave their names as Dr. Arora and Dr. Nayyar. He said that he had referred the case to the CBI Director. Both doctors are deputy secretaries of the MCI.
