`Kodava Thakk Namme' festival on October 29

MADIKERI: The sixth "Kodava Thakk Namme," Kodava language festival, to be organised by the Kodava Thakk Parishat, will be held at Napoklu near here on October 29.

``Kadekala Achara," a book on Kodava custom by Mevada Shambhu Subbaiah, will be released on the occasion by musician Chekkera Tygaraj Appaiah, according to a press release from parishat president Ajjinikanda Mahesh Nachaiah.

The festival is being organised by the parishat, Napoklu Mahila Samaj, Farmers' Club, Nalnad Planters' Club, Sri Rama Trust and Lions Club.

It will be inaugurated by retired principal Biddatanda C. Ponnappa.
