Nine-month-old boy succumbs to burns

Nine-month-old Sravan Kumar, who sustained burns in LPG explosion in the house at Pahadisharieff, died on Wednesday night while undergoing treatment at Osmania General Hospital. His parents - Mahesh, 24, and Yadamma, 20, - who too suffered burns in the accident are recuperating, the police said.

Student dies in freak accident

An LKG student Syed Azman, 6, who accidentally caught fire after a burning candle fell on the clothes he wore on Tuesday morning, succumbed to his burns in OGH. The victim was alone in the house at Moti Market in Kachiguda when the incident occurred. Neighbours rushed him to the hospital where he died.

Student ends life

A student pursuing chartered accountant course, Vijay Kumar, 24, allegedly committed suicide by hanging in his rented house at KPHB Colony on Wednesday night. The victim was alone in the house while his three other roommates -- Gopi Krishna, Laxmi Prasad and Satya Prasad -- went to their offices. On return, they found his body hanging from the ceiling. The victim was a native of Tirupati.

Theft in house, gold taken away

Thieves broke into a house at Anjaiahnagar in Jagadgirigutta and took away Rs. 50,000 and gold ornaments weighing 15 tolas on Tuesday night. House owner P. Satyanarayana, a retired Government employee, left for Medak on Monday night along with his family members. They returned home on Wednesday morning only to find the lock of the main door broken and the property stolen, the Jeedimetla police said.
