A novel agitation organised by the All-India Democratic Women's Association in front of the Collectorate on Monday immediately attracted the attention of the public and prompted an in-depth thinking. The well-planned demonstration replete with a visual impact fulfilled AIDWA's objective of highlighting various problems confronting the society in general and the women belonging to the economically weaker sections in particular. With a pinch (rather a large dose) of sarcasm, AIDWA cadres portrayed themselves as Miss Poverty, Miss Violence, Miss Dowry and Miss Price Rise, to explain the social evils.
