South Western Railway website launched

Information on rail services goes online

HUBLI: Trilok Nath Perti, General Manager, South Western Railway (SWR), launched the website of the zone, http://www.southwesternrailway.in, here on Wednesday.

Speaking after the launch, Mr. Perti said the website will provide information regarding the functioning of all departments of the SWR, apart from disseminating information on railway services.

The website will provide reliable and updated information about a variety of things being dealt with by the organisation, he said.

Commending the Chief Signal and Telecom Engineer and his team for developing the website, Mr. Perti underscored the need to provide updated, accurate and timely information, which, he said, will boost the image of the Railways.

Elaborating on the information posted on the website,

Some officials have been nominated as nodal officers and vested with the responsibility to update the website.
