REVIEW: Finance Secretary Subramanya at a review meeting in Gulbarga on Thursday. Deputy Commissioner Anjum Parvez and Chief Executive Officer of the Gulbarga Zilla Panchayat Pankajkumar Pandey attended the meeting.
GULBARGA: The Finance Secretary Subramanya, who is also the in-charge Secretary of the Gulbarga District and Administrative Officer of the Gulbarga Zilla Panchayat, conducted a review of flood relief works taken up in the district at a meeting here on Thursday. Senior officials of all the departments and the Chief Executive Officer of the Zilla Panchayat, Pankajkumar Pandey, and the Deputy Commissioner, Anjum Parvez, participated in the review meeting. The meeting discussed in detail the relief measures taken up in the district. Briefing on the progress in the flood relief works taken up in the district, Mr. Anjum Parvez said Rs. 22.18 lakhs has been paid as compensation to 2,218 persons affected in the floods and Rs. 118.02 lakhs has been distributed to the people who had lost their houses fully or partially in the floods. As many as 5,911 families were benefited by this. Mr. Anjum Parvez told Dr. Subramanya that the district administration was in the process of utilising Rs. 33 crores released for the flood relief measures by the State Government. The utilisation certificate would be submitted to the Government soon, he added.
