JNU hosts seminar on literature
Inaugurating the seminar, the Dean of the School of Language, Literature and Cultural Studies, Prof. Amar Basu, emphasised on the study of literature in the social context. Several JNU students presented papers on literature written in Hindi, English, Bengali, Hebrew, Palestinian, Bodo and Malayalam.
SEWA Mela
Organised by the Self-Employed Women's Association (SEWA) -- a labour union of poor self-employed women workers in the unorganised sector -- the mela will exhibit tussar silk saris, dupattas, durees, shawls, lacquer work, smocking, traditional embroidery and mirror work and chikan work saris.
