ADILABAD: The Tandur circle police arrested four Maoist courier-sympathisers from Addaghat forest area in the early hours of Wednesday. The arrests were made on the outskirts of Goleti. The police seized 30 gelatine sticks, 10 electrical detonators, a tarpaulin tent and Rs. 10,500 in cash from them. Producing Akunuri Rajanibabu, Dandam Balaraju, Kammari Vishnu and Varkilla Yoganand at a press conference on Thursday, Adilabad SP Kripanand Tripathi Ujela said the accused were proceeding to meet CPI (Maoist) North Telangana Special Zone Committee secretary Pulluri Prasada Rao to hand him over the seized material. Rajanibabu was a resident of Vangapalli in Karimnagar district. His brother A. Swami was working as gunman for Chandranna.

Meanwhile, Chikram Jaywanth Rao alias Santosh, a member of Mangi dalam of Maoists, surrendered before the SP on Thursday.
