Easy wins for ASC, MEG

BANGALORE: The two Army outfits, ASC and MEG, posted easy wins in the preliminary league of the State `A' division volleyball championship at the Sree Kanteerva Stadium courts here on Thursday.

MEG, setting a hot pace, proved too good for BEL Sports Club and won 25-10, 25-14, 25-14 with Manjunath, Jaleel playing a pivotal role. ASC humbled Sports Hostel 25-22, 25-18, 25-22 in 50 minutes. Mathew and Varghese with their accurate spiking, kept ASC ahead in spite of spirited attempts across the net by Jagdish and Chetan.
