KADAPA: People aged over 45 years should be enlightened on the danger and intensity of osteoporosis, Special Deputy Collector A. Padmaja said on Thursday. Speaking at a free osteoporosis camp at Sai nursing home here on World Osteoporosis Day, she said women would be prone to osteoporosis due to fall in calcium levels during menopause and hence needed periodical medical consultation to take precautionary measures. She released pamphlets on osteoporosis. Opthalmician S. Madhavi said osteoporosis was a common problem among women.
