However, AP women's team suffered a reverse in the team event losing to Gujarat 0-3. The results: Team championship: Men: Semifinals: AP bt Tamil Nadu 3-1 (Ramesh Kumar lost to Raj Kumar 8-11, 11-5, 9-11, 9-11, 4-11; Deepesh Singh bt Jai Kumar 11-4, 7-11, 11-4, 11-8; Sreedhar bt S. Swaminathan 11-4, 11-6, 11-8; Deepesh Singh bt Raj Kumar 9-11, 9-11, 11-5, 11-7, 13-11). Madhya Pradesh bt Maharashtra 3-0 (Amit Kotia bt M.S. Lahore 8-11, 11-6, 11-9, 11-9; Rupesh Singh bt N.V. Easy for AOC
Ramesh, Satyanarayana, Manoj and Kiran netted a brace each while Ramaswamy scored one to complete the tally for the winners.
In another match, Nav Bharat outplayed MCH Ameerpet 12-2 with Raghunandan scoring three, Prakash Singh, Chandan Singh, Prahlad Singh striking twice each and Sanjay, Jagadeesh and Narayan Rao one each.
For the loser, Kushwanth Singh's brace provided some consolation.
