HYDERABAD: Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K. Chandrasekhar Rao and rebel party MLA S. Santosh Reddy were busy with their respective camps ahead of the latter's meeting with `like minded' supporters of separate Telangana in the city on Friday. Contrary to an assurance of Mr. Reddy that the meeting would be a low-key affair confined to a few people at his home, the occasion has now been made big. It would be organised at a function hall to accommodate a large gathering. The TRS chief held several rounds of discussions with the available party MPs and MLAs at his residence to keep the flock intact and ensure that the workers did not turn up for the meeting. The Union Minister of State for Rural Development, A. Narendra, was closely associated with Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao in the task. On the other hand, Mr. Reddy and his followers were busy contacting supporters of separate Telangana in various districts to mobilise crowds.Amidst hectic activity in rival camps, Hanamkonda MLA, M. Satyanarayana Reddy, shot off a letter to Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao asking him to withdraw the suspension of Mr. Santosh Reddy and convene a meeting of the legislature party to resolve the crisis. He also warned Mr. Santosh Reddy against going ahead with the meeting on Friday. He raised objection to the suspension of Mr. Santosh Reddy without a discussion.
