KADAPA: TDP State Secretary S.V. Satish Kumar Reddy on Thursday alleged that he was implicated in a murder case at the behest of Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy. Dr. Rajasekhara Reddy conspired to get rid of his political adversaries by getting cases foisted on them, he alleged at Pulivendula. Terming the murder case booked against him `atrocious', he asserted that he would not be cowed down by such threats. Meanwhile, Mr. Satish Reddy's wife S. Sumathi claimed that her husband was not guilty and she would wage a legal battle to prove his innocence. Speaking to newsmen at Vempalle, she alleged that he was implicated in a murder case although two Congressmen died in Velpula village of Vemula mandal, when his gunman opened fire in a bid to protect the leader. Congress made a mockery of democracy, district TDP President R. Ramesh Kumar Reddy, alleged. Special Correspondent writes from Hyderabad: The TDP on Thursday charged the Chief Minister with showing his "feudal mentality" in implicating Mr. Satish Reddy in the case. Addressing a press conference, TDP leaders K. Yerran Naidu and K. Ramamohan Rao said the Government machinery and police were being misused to settle scores with Mr. Satish Reddy. They reiterated the party's demand for judicial enquiry by a High Court Judge.
YSR rules out probe
Meanwhile, Dr. Rajasekhara Reddy turned down TDP's demand for a judicial inquiry on the ground that the issue was already before the court. He said Satish Kumar Reddy was produced before the court. "As such, there is no need for any further judicial inquiry", he told reporters here.
