A medal-winning moustache

BIRGADIER NAOZER B. Patel, an officer belonging to the Bangalore-based Madras Engineer Group & Centre, has bagged a medal for the country in the "Third World Beard & Moustache" competition in Berlin, Germany, recently.

Brig. Patel had to compete with 220 contenders for titles under various categories such as Handlebar, Fu Manchu, Wild West, Freestyle and Imperial. The Madras Sappers officer, the only contender from Asia, showed off his moustache in the contest in the Freestyle category. Five of the seven judges were women.
