Two killed in road accident

GUNTUR: Two persons died and eight others injured in a road accident involving an Road Transport Corporation bus and a private jeep at Desavaram bus stand in Rompicherla mandal of Guntur district on Thursday afternoon.

The driver of a private jeep stage carrier was collecting money from passengers at the bus stand, when an Road Transport Corporation bus coming from Piduguralla to Narsaraopet, hit the vehicle from behind at 3 p.m. leading to death of Macherla Yellaiah, 35, and Diduguntla Venkata Narayana, 26, on the spot.
