Consumer expo from today

Vinit Traders is organising a ten-day mega consumer exhibition from October 21 to 30 at Lee Place (Royal Court) near Paradise.

Products and services like properties, builders and developers, electronics and home appliances, health, fashion and beauty, food and beverages, cleaning aids will be showcased at the exhibition.

Pakistani bangles and Chinese crockery will be on display for the first time, according to Vincent D'Costa of Vinit Traders.

Bengali food festival

Green Park is organising a regional cuisine festival, `the Bengali food festival' at the multi-cuisine restaurant `Once Upon A Time' from October 21 to October 29. It is priced at Rs. 299 with minimal taxes.

Typical Bengali cuisine like `Hilsa Kalia', `Kosha Mangsho', `Palangsager Murghi', for non-vegetarians and `Kumro Poteler Dorma', `Chenar Dalana', `Shukto' and other delicacies for vegetarians will be available.

Meet on rural development

The Director-General of Council for Advancement of People's Action and Rural Technology (CAPART), Kamal Taori, will hold a meeting with representatives of Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) at the National Institute of Rural Development (NIRD) on Friday.

A CAPART press release issued here on Thursday said that Mr. Taori would hold discussions with Government officials regarding rural development and NGO activities.

Science exhibition

The second annual science exhibition being organised at Devnar Foundation For the Blind, Begumpet, will be inaugurated by B.R. Ambedkar Open University Vice-Chancellor D. Ramachandram on Friday.

The three-day exhibition will be open for general public and students, according to its Managing Trustee A. Saibaba Goud.

Book released

Popular writer Yandamoori Veerendranath released his latest book `Secrets of Success', which is a compilation of articles published in The Hindu Education Plus over the last 18 months.

Free training

JNTU's Centre for Biotechnology Institute of Science & Technology has invited applications from eligible economically-backward candidates for a free training programme in instrumental method of analysis and GPS surveying and map digitisation. The last date for submission of applications is November 5.
