Thiruvananthapuram: The Crime Branch on Thursday questioned 29 more people in connection with the attack on the house of Neyyattinkara Latin Catholic Bishop on Monday last. Those questioned included Saji Lal, who had contested the Neyyattinkara municipal elections as a United Democratic Front candidate, and his family members. The agency has no evidence so far to prove that any of the persons questioned were behind the crime. The police are also checking the mobile telephone call records of several persons. The agency also questioned certain members of the Latin Catholic parish in Manickapuram who had staged a demonstration in front of the Bishop's house on the previous day of the attack. The parishioners were demanding that the local priest, who was transferred recently, be reinstated.
