U.S. food chain Subway expands operations

CHENNAI: The U.S.-based Subway, the second largest food chain in the world, has opened its fourth restaurant (Sunshine Foods is the franchisee of Subway) in Chennai. The U.S. firm plans to add three more restaurants in Chennai over the next six months. Subway's global network extends to over 24,200 restaurants in 81 countries and in India alone, there are 51 restaurants in 10 cities.
