Letters to the Editor
The dastardly killing of Ghulam Nabi Lone, at a time when thousands of Kashmiris are desperately coping with the aftermath of the killer quake, is highly reprehensible. It needs to be condemned in the strongest possible terms. That the heinous act was perpetrated during Ramzan a month of fasting and prayer in which Muslims are required to exercise utmost restraint in all aspects of behaviour shows the terrorists are not true believers of Islam. It is time the majority of Muslims unanimously rejected the so-called jihadis as un-Islamic.
