TIRUNELVELI: The Tirunelveli Telecom District of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited will release 2,000 additional `Excel' Prepaid SIM cards for five days from October 24 to customers in the waiting list. According to the General Manager, BSNL, Tirunelveli Telecom Circle, V. Raju, the customers with token numbers from 8,316 to 9,089 can get the SIM cards from the Customer Care Centre, Office of the General Manager, Telecom, Vannarpet, while the customers holding the tokens from 3,465 to 3,805 can get the cards from Customer Service Centre, Telephone Exchange, Tenkasi. The Customer Service Centre, Telephone Exchange, Sankarnkovil will distribute the SIM cards to customers having token numbers from 1,488 to 1,628. The applicants having tokens from 2,566 to 2,952 can contact the Customer Service Centre, Valliyoor and the Telegraph Office, Oorkaadu Road, Ambasamudram will handle the tokens from 1,619 to 1,825 for the issue of SIM cards. "Customers who have registered their names with M/s Standard Agencies, Elite Opticals near Thevar Statue, Tirunelveli, and having the tokens from 3,546 to 3,695 are requested to get their SIM cards at the Customer Service Centre, Office of the General Manager, Telecom, Vannarpet," Mr. Raju said. Customers can get their SIM cards by paying Rs.220 (inclusive of Service Tax of Rs.20) in cash from the above offices where they have registered their applications. If the registered customer is not able to collect the SIM cards in person, he should obtain the SIM card through his representative by giving a requisition letter with the signature of the representative duly attested. The registered customers should get their SIM cards during the above three days, otherwise their registration will be cancelled from the waiting list without any notice, he said. Meanwhile, applications for prepaid SIM cards continue to be registered free of cost in the above mentioned offices and also at the authorised centres viz. Standard Agencies, 54, B, S.N. High Road, Tirunelveli Junction, Sri Sadasivam Tranding Company, 70/11, BMC Complex, Thisayanvilai, Panduranga Agencies, Railway Feeder Road, Tenkasi and Bharat Communications, 123/B-8, Thiruvananthapuram Road, Palayamkottai.
