Unauthorised stockists of crackers warned

Even government staff cautioned against unlicensed business in crackers

Pondicherry: Deputy Collector of Pondicherry Mr. A. Vincent Rayar, has warned those doing business in stocking and sales of crackers without proper licenses with penal action under the Explosives Act 1884.

In a release here on Saturday he said that the Department of Revenue and Disaster Management here was receiving a number of complaints that some private organisations, public sector undertakings were stocking crackers and explosives without proper licence for selling them.
