Court says right intention, but wrong language in Kiran's case

NEW DELHI: A Delhi court on Saturday ruled that an NGO run by senior IPS officer Kiran Bedi was not wrong in issuing summons to a family accused of domestic violence.

The order came on a complaint filed by one Paras Khatri against Navjyoti which had allegedly threatened him and his family of ``action'' if they do not appear before it. Though the court objected to the language used by the NGO it was satisfied with the explanation of Bedi, who was present in the court, that it was only sent with an intention to reconcile the parties and no threat was issued.- PTI
