How to make a presentation

CHENNAI: A small number of professionals and lay persons gathered at Hotel Gautham Manor on the Nungambakkam High Road on Sunday to attend a one-day workshop on the skills required to make a presentation to individuals or groups. It was the 26th workshop being organised by www.editin.com, in association with QI Systems Pty Ltd., Melbourne.

S.V. Suryanarayana, director, www.editin.com, has been organising the workshops in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai for a cross-section of people. The workshop covered one-to-one, group, public and team presentations with participants practising their newly learnt skills with each other.

They were also taught to introduce themselves with business cards, structure presentations and use appropriate technology such as transparencies and PowerPoint projection.

Participants were given workshop kits that included PowerPoint templates and an e-book on presentation skills. They will also receive participation certificates that will be available online for download, forwarding or printing.
