A series of dance programmes

Malavika and Ranjini will perform on October 29

BANGALORE: A series of dance programmes have been organised at Subhash Bhavan auditorium, Ideal Homes Township, Rajarajeshwarinagar, on October 29 and October 30.

The inaugural performance is by actor and Bharatnatya exponent Malavika Avinash, and Ranjani Ganeshan Ramesh of Kalakshetra, Chennai.

Veda chanting

The programme begins with a five minute session on Veda chanting at 6 p.m. Ms. Avinash and Ms. Ramesh will the take the stage by 6.05 p.m. and perform for an hour.

At 7.10 p.m., there is a Kathak trio by Suma Vijay of Omkar Creations and Bharati and Tushar Bhat, disciples of Guru Maya Rao. The next day, a jugalbandi of Odissi and Bharatanatya will be presented by Vani Madhav, a disciple of Sudhar Sahu and Suhasini Krishnamurthy, a disciple of Revathy Narasimhan.

Group performance

The final session will have Bharatnatya group performance choreographed by P. Praveen Kumar, a disciple of Narmadha and director of Chithkala School of Dance here.
