Coimbatore: Corporation Commissioner Anil Meshram has requested the public to use only boiled and filtered drinking water to prevent water-borne disease in the wake of onset of monsoon. Eateries and restaurants have been advised to provide only boiled and filtered drinking water to customers. The public have been requested to prevent accumulation of articles like tyres, tubes, tube-light pieces and coconut shells. Rainwater would stagnate in these resulting in breeding of mosquitoes, the Commissioner said.
