Kochi: It may not have been the kind of start they had been dreaming about, but cricketer Sreesanth's family was a happy lot as he made his Team India debut in the Nagpur one-dayer against Sri Lanka on Tuesday. The family had come together to celebrate the occasion at Sreesanth's home in Kochi and his mother Savithri Devi was a happy host to her neighbours and hordes of cameramen who had arrived to catch a few pictures and sound bytes. Things were a bit quiet early when Sreesanth was at the receiving end, but there were loud cheers when he got the first of his two tail-end wickets. "He spoke to us soon after the match," said Sreesanth's sister Nivedita, clearly thrilled. "He said he was a bit tense initially but with captain Rahul Dravid and Sachi Tendulkar encouraging him, his confidence grew," she said. As they say, all's well that ends well.
