PARIS: Brazilians comprised one-fifth of France Football's 50 nominees for the magazine's prestigious Golden Ball award. France and England had seven nominees each, including Zinedine Zidane and David Beckham from Real Madrid, the second-most of any nation. The magazine released the list ahead of the latest issue's publication on Tuesday. FIFA World Player of the year Ronaldinho of Barcelona and two-time Golden Ball winner Ronaldo of Real Madrid led the list of 10 Brazilians, joined by Adriano (Inter Milan), Cris (Lyon), Dida (AC Milan), Juninho (Lyon), Roberto Carlos (Real Madrid) and Robinho (Real Madrid). The winner will be announced next month. — AP
