Delimitation order enforcement sought

Pondicherry: The People's Unity Forum has urged the Election Commission to make effective the order of the Delimitation Commission finalising the territorial limits of the Assembly constituencies in the Union Territory.

Mr. Elayaperumal, the organiser of the forum, said in a release here today that his organisation would launch on November 5 a signature campaign to enlist the support of the people to persuade the Centre that the polls in 2006 for Pondicherry Assembly should take place as per the number of constituencies finalized by the Commission.
