VISAKHAPATNAM: Kerosene will be provided on the new ration cards issued by the Government in the urban areas from November. This assurance by officials followed a "Collectorate siege" organised by the Communist Party of India (Marxist) on Tuesday. A large number of women from Poorna Market, Sunnapu Veedhi and Circuit House areas of the city came in a procession to participate in the protest. The protesters said that though the new ration cards had been issued with fanfare four months ago, kerosene, sugar and wheat were not being supplied. The women continued the protest till 1 p.m.
