NEW DELHI: Tarundeep Rai and Dola Banerjee will be in the forefront of India's challenge in the Asian archery championships to be held at the Nehru Stadium grounds here from November 4. In an effort to help the Archery Association of India (AAI) gain support from private sponsors, the Union Government had granted hundred per cent exemption to sponsorship contributions made to the federation, AAI President, V.K. Malhotra, said here on Monday. South Korea, the main contender in the Asian championships, China, Chinese Taipei, Bhutan, Hong Kong, Japan, Kazakhstan, North Korea, Malaysia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Tajikstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia are the teams expected to compete. The Indian team: Men: Recurve: Jayant Talukdar, Tarundeep Rai, Rahul Banerjee and Majhi Sawaiyan. Compound: Naresh Damor, Vivek Kumar Ch Lenin and Shivnath Nagesia. Women: Recurve: Dola Banerjee, Laxmi Rani Majhi, Reena Kumari and Chokrovulo Swurvo. Compound: Jhanu Hansda, Banasarin Dhar, Sakro Besra and Manjdha Soy.
