KOCHI: ONGC men and BPCL women came up with comfortable wins in the 14th Petroleum Sports Promotion Board all-India carrom tournament which began at the KRL Transit House, Ambalamugal, on Tuesday. ONGC blanked host Kochi Refineries 3-0 while the BPCL thrashed GAIL by a similar margin. Jacob Thomas, Chairman and Managing Director, Kerala State Civil Supplies Corporation, opened the tournament. The results (league): Men: Zone A: NGC `B' bt KRL B 3-0; Zone B: IBP `A' bt BPCL `B' 2-1; Zone C: BPCL `A' bt Engineers India 3-0; Zone D: IPCL bt KRL `A' 3-0. Women: Zone A: PCL bt GAIL 3-0; Zone B: Engineers India bt KRL 3-0; HPCL bt Engineers India 3-0; ONGC bt HPCL 2-1.
