JAIPUR: The three public sector Electricity Distribution Corporations of Rajasthan -- situated in Jaipur, Jodhpur and Ajmer -- have decided to charge concessional power tariff from Gaushalas following the directions of the State Government. An official release issued here on Tuesday stated that the three Vidyut Vitaran Nigams would charge 50 per cent of energy rate and full fixed charges applicable to the domestic service tariff from the Gaushala connections, instead of 50 per cent of non-domestic service tariff charged earlier. The electricity bills for the Gaushala connections will be issued with the modified rates retrospectively from July 1 this year. The difference in the charges will be reimbursed by the State Government in the shape of subsidy to the three Vidyut Vitran Nigams.
