Shirt for mother and sari for papa

THE LATEST merchandising exercise is to host parties for small children , who will of course, come with their parents. The latest in town was the Great Kurkure Chair party on the Malleswaram Grounds (which is now waiting for the rains to abate and fire cracker stalls to come up).

The most popular event was the "Kya Family Hai" contest. Families competed with one another and you guessed it, they were all family games. Mothers ad to get into a shirt and necktie and fathers into a sari; those who did it the fastest and also were the neatest, were declared the winners.
