Only 300 tickets available for plays

THE THEATRE festival that the city has been looking forward to begins on Friday and ticket sales are already on. Ranga Shankara and Hutch, the mobile phone provider, are hosting the events with 17 days of plays in Kannada, Hindi, English and other languages.

Some are coming here for the first time.

Each show will have only 300 tickets.

The festival is to mark the first anniversary of Ranga Shankara.

There will be matinee shows each day at 3 p.m. with lower priced tickets for senior citizens. These shows will include plays such as "Moteram ka Satyagrah" on Friday, "Padukalam" on November 2 , "Shakker Ke Paanch Daane" on November 3 and "A Deep Fried Jam" on November 5. Hutch subscribers can get the details on their cell phones.
