Case against Muneer

Thiruvananthapuram: The City Police on Tuesday registered a case against Minister for Public Works M.K. Muneer on the charge that he violated the election code of conduct. The case was registered at the Fort police station on the basis of a complaint filed by the District Collector, who is the Chief Electoral Officer.

The Minister has been accused of bribing voters by distributing television sets and home appliances. — Staff Reporter

Man killed in accident

Thiruvananthapuram: A 53-year-old man who was knocked down by a Kerala State Road Transport Corporation bus near Ayurveda College on Tuesday died later at Medical College Hospital. He was identified as Sheikh Pareed, of Kurudan Lane, Kanjirampara. — Staff Reporter
