Several trains cancelled, diverted

BANGALORE:
The South Western Railway on Wednesday announced cancellation, partial cancellation and diversion of some of the trains following the breach of track between Kamasamudra and Varadapalya in Kolar District on October 23.
According to an official release, 10 trains were cancelled, four were partially cancelled and 11 were diverted. The cancelled trains included Jolarpettai-Bangalore City Express (Thursday), Bangalore City- Chennai Lal Bagh Express, Chennai-Bangalore City Express and Bangalore City-Chennai Shatabdi Express (both ways).
Partially cancelled trains included Bangalore-Kakinada Seshadri Express (both ways) between Bangalore and Tirupati, and Arakkonam-Bangalore City Passenger between Jolarpettai and Bangarpet on Thursday.
Trains diverted on Wednesday via Salem and Hosur were Nagarcoil-Mumbai CSTM Express, Bangalore City-Guwahati Express, Ernakulam-Bangalore City Special Express, Bangalore-Kanniyakumari Express (both ways), Thiruvananthapuram-Bangalore City Express (both ways), Mumbai-Nagarcoil Express and Bangalore City-Rajendra Nagar Sanghamitra Express.
The Howrah-Yeshwantpur Express (both ways) will be diverted via Dharmavaram, Dhronachalam and Guntakal.
