New chief of Paradip port

PARADIP: K. Raghuramaiah, a 1980 batch IRTS officer, took charge as the new Chairman of Paradip Port Trust on Saturday last. Prior to this assignment, he was the Chief Commercial Manager (PS) of the South Central Railway, and had also served as the Chief of Marketing of Singareni Collieries Ltd. After taking over from Subrat Tripathy, Deputy Chairman, who was in-charge Chairman, Mr. Raghuramaih held a meeting with senior PPT officials and expressed the hope that Paradip would become a premier port of the country.
