Maruti Udyog Q2 net up 43 p.c.

NEW DELHI: Maruti Udyog has registered a 43.06 per cent rise in its net profit at Rs. 262.66 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005, against Rs. 183.60 crore in the year-ago period. According to an official announcement, total income has increased by 15.9 per cent to Rs. 3,149 crore for the quarter under review from Rs. 2,717.20 crore. Domestic sales during the period under review grew by 8.9 per cent over the same period last fiscal. In all, the company sold 1.41 lakh vehicles during the quarter, including 11,880 units of exports.
