Green signal for Jindal memorial

CHANDIGARH:
The Haryana Government has granted permission to the O.P. Jindal Memorial Trust to set up an O.P Jindal Memorial Public Park and a yoga centre on Government land in Hisar.
The permission was given by the Cabinet which met here under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda. The trust would set up the park and the yoga centre at a cost of Rs. 5 crores to 10 crores in memory of the Minister who was killed in an air crash earlier this year.
According to Mr. Hooda, the trust would look after the maintenance and upkeep of the park while the ownership of the land would remain vested in the Government.
The Government has also amended the object clause of the Memorandum and Articles of Association of the Haryana State Electronics Development Corporation (Hartron).
Mr. Hooda said Hartron would now also be a solution provider for e-Governance projects in the State, covering the whole gamut of services such as IT turnkey consultancy, software development, networking solution including LAN/WAN, IT training, Web-enabled services, portal, kiosks, data processing, data warehousing, quality audit, other consultancies and IT-related activities.
It would also develop and promote IT infrastructure, software technology park and marketing thereof in any model whatsoever and provide a forum for interaction with the IT industry.
