Vinay posts win
Vinay Kothari (SVS) defeated Karthic Raj (TNBSA) 78-35, 64-33 in the junior snooker event of the Tamil Nadu State-ranking tournament at TNBSA in Chennai.
TNSP keeps trophy
Tamil Nadu Special Police, Chennai, retained the Saratha Trophy defeating Hockey Special Coaching Centre, Palayamkottai, 4-1, via tie-breaker in the final of the fourth annual state-level hockey tournament in Tirunelveli on Saturday. At the end of the regulation time, the teams were locked goalless. In the tie-breaker, Palanivelnathan, Paratheep, Krishnakumar and Parthiban scored for Police and Udaya Vimalan only succeeded for the local team. Earlier in the semifinals, Tamil Nadu Special Police beat Thirunagar Hockey Club, Madurai 2-0, while Hockey Special Coaching Centre prevailed over Nethaji Sports Club, Kovilpatti 5-3 via tie-breaker.
