|
CHENNAI:
While many city colleges are busy with campus interviews and placements, Sriramanujar Engineering College, Vandalur, has gone a step forward by paying stipends to students who are selected by companies to work on several projects.
Ten students were shortlisted last week by Ganesan Ramanathan, managing director of M/s. Exequition (a software company with its headquarters in California) to work on projects.
The college adopted a novel scheme where the students served with appointment orders would be given training on the campus on their projects as they undergo their final semester.
What more when they get stipends under the new concept.
The company has assured to revisit the college during January 2006 and recruit more students.
